Where to go when it's time for something completely different.

You know when life's been too real and it's time to for things to change. Before you jump into the deep end and dye your hair purple, go to Tony Capputo's downtown location. This is one of our absolute favorite places to go in Salt Lake. They have chocolate from around the world. Go and splurge on a bar for someone special. They have a meat counter full of things that are delicious and that we can't pronounce. See how I started a new paragraph? Yeah, me too. It's because there cheese game is the best I've ever seen. They have multiple cheese caves. So that once those precious cheese babies have arrived from far and wide to meet your mouth they can first acclimate properly so the cheese experience (cheeseperience) is superb. and it always is. They help to preserve many cheeses on the endangered cheeses list (that's a thing). Most importantly, they offer free samples. So go to the cheese counter and get weird. We dare you. After you've done a bit of shopping and are good and hungry step over to the deli counter and order a sandwich, soup, or salad. Or all three. Things we recommend: muffaletta, Antipasto, bisque, pastrami. Go for the: fact that it feels like you are not in SLC Stay for the: Raschera d'applegio. Just walk to the cheese counter and say "Raschera, please." Cheese will never be the same. You're welcome.
